Volunteer Opportunities




CALLING ALL ART ENTHUSIASTS!
Described below are a couple of the volunteer opportunities that are currently available.

MUSEUM VOLUNTEERS AND DOCENTS
Duties: Volunteers in this position must enjoy meeting and speaking with the public. Duties include greeting visitors, answering questions and giving exhibit information. Docents are trained to lead tours of the exhibits and building, and educate the public about SAM. Volunteers are also needed for facility maintenance, cleaning, painting, light construction and heavy lifting!
Qualifications: Willingness to interact with the public, share art knowledge and answer questions.
Training: General orientation and specialized training will be provided.
Hours: Minimum of 4 hour commitment per week.

MUSEUM STORE VOLUNTEER
Duties: Volunteers in the Museum Store @ SAM greet visitors, sell merchandise, inventory stock and display items.
Qualifications: Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, interact with the public and answer questions.
Training: General orientation and specialized training is provided.
Hours: Minimum of 4 hour commitment per week.
