Western Art Exhibit 2007

06/08/2007 – 09/09/2007

Welcome to the Steamboat Art Museum’s third exhibit in the historic First National Bank Building in downtown Steamboat Springs.

This exhibition features a wide variety of artwork that illustrates the western heritage of Routt County and Northwestern Colorado. Many types of the more traditional cowboy arts such as handbraiding, leatherwork, and silversmithing are featured along paintings, drawings and sculpture.

We feel this exhibit displays a vision of not only the action and glimpses of life in the west, but also a close up view of the equipment and decoration of that part of history.

We would like to thank Sidney Peak Ranch for sponsoring this exhibit.

We would also like to thank the City of Steamboat Springs, the wonderful collectors and artists who have loaned us artwork, and our many volunteers and members who have so generously donated their time and money to make this exhibit possible.
