The Steamboat Art Museum (SAM) is pleased to announce that an exhibition of photographs showcasing the talent of a select group of accomplished and emerging nature photographers living and working in Colorado will be at the Macnab Gallery in the Museum starting June 30, 2017. The exhibit commences with an opening reception at 5:00-8:00 PM June 30th and will be open through August 12, 2017. A Photographers Roundtable Forum with a number of the exhibiting photographers participating will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 1.
Local photographers who will be exhibiting include Jim Steinberg, Jace Romick, and Abby Jensen.
“Colorado is unparalleled for its spectacular beauty, incredible light, diversity of terrain, and variety of the seasons,” said Rod Hanna, SAM board president and curator of the exhibit. “This exhibit will not only present some of the top nature photographers of our area, but will continue to fulfill our mission to present fine art to the public, with a primary focus on the culture and heritage of Northwestern Colorado. Western Colorado provides such an unique opportunity to capture nature at its best and we are so fortunate to live and work in this incredible environment.”
